Alstan Jakubiec - Director of Engineering, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and holds a PhD in Building Technology from MIT. He also studied architectural design at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Pennsylvania respectively.

Alstan teaches urban sustainability, building performance simulation, lighting design, and environmental design at U of T. He has taught taught courses in daylighting and sustainable design at the Harvard University Executive Education Program and at the Rhode Island School of Design. His expertise is in daylight and thermal modeling at building and urban scales, especially as it relates to the prediction of visual comfort.
