ClimateStudio 2.0 Release Candidate Available

Solemma is excited to announce that ClimateStudio 2.0 is now available as a release candidate. This major update includes a new multiversal daylighting engine, which lets users accurately model the impact of dynamic scene elements including seasonal vegetation and snow cover (as well as operable shades). The release also boosts simulation speed, expands the library of physically accurate material assets, and overhauls the thermal modeling workflow with simplified templates, parametrically controlled windows in Rhino, and select HVAC systems! See our change log and docs for more details.

ClimateStudio’s multiversal engine captures interactions among moving shades.

Key New Features

  • Rhino 8 compatible (with dark-mode support)

  • Faster simulations (multi-CPU)

  • Dynamic vegetation and snow cover

  • Expanded library of fabric-shade materials and controls, including automated and manual systems

  • Parametric window generation for thermal models in Rhino

  • HVAC support, including VAV, VRF and FCU systems

  • Improved construction and space-use templates. Produce concept-phase ASHRAE 90.1-based energy models in a snap!

The ClimateStudio version 2.0 release candidate installer is available for commercial and educational users with a license key. Prospective customers can request a trial key and pricing information here, and a representative from Solemma will reach out to you.
